The increase in the use of online and contactless payments for businesses looking to maintain business continuity throughout the pandemic has meant an increase in opportunities for fraud.
In December last year, our members across Ireland, as well as much of Europe, saw the introduction of new measures focused on customer authentication to protect businesses by reducing fraud. On the 15th September, these same measures will be introduced in the UK.
