Finch expands its footprint in the South with the purchase of Headley Group

Despite the turbulent market, insurance broker Finch has announced its purchase of independent; Headley Group, which includes Chambers member Robinson Buckley.  This marks Finch’s 12th acquisition as part of Ethos Broking and its first for 2021.

Headley Group was founded in 2003 (Robinson Buckley acquired in November 2016) and now operates from three offices across the South of England:  Alton, Godalming, and Bournemouth, which is also home to BM Property Services. It has become one of the largest brokers within the region with 4 directors and employing 30 members of staff, all of whom will stay with the business upon completion of the deal. The business handles over £13m GWP and is predominantly a commercial lines brokerage, also with high net worth private clients and a specialist Morgan car scheme.

Commenting on the purchase, Paul Goodman Finch’s MD said: “I am excited to get my first acquisition as Finch’s MD over the line and couldn’t be happier that it’s a brokerage such as the Headley Group. This is a business which has strong regional ties within its communities, and I am pleased that our team will continue the excellent client care that the brand is renowned for. Headley’s varied portfolio of business perfectly complements our current position and offers us fantastic growth opportunities.”

With COVID-19 affecting many business plans, the Ethos Broking strategy remains unaffected with a strong pipeline of acquisition activity throughout 2021.
