We’ve joined Godalming Chamber… introduction
Hello,
We have just joined the Chamber and wanted to say hi!
I am producing Godalming’s first professional panto this year, we are doing Jack and the Beanstalk at Godalming’s Borough Hall.
Pantomimes bring in a lot of people in to the town and I am keen to make sure this benefits as many local businesses as possible.
One thing I would like some help with is recommendations of Godalming based charities. We would like to collect for a few at the shows. Must be a local charity, not a national. I thought you might have some ideas?
I am also keen to promote other independent businesses that work in Godalming, like yourselves. If you have any ideas of how we could work together then please do send them over? Or even if you just have time for a coffee and a chat perhaps?
A little bit about me so you know I am not just some random chap setting up in Godalming! I am born and bred in Guildford and am also the managing director of Guildford Fringe Theatre Company, Guildford Fringe Festival and Gag House Comedy Clubs (we actually have a monthly club in Godalming). I am also an actor and performed my first show in Godalming when I was 14 or 15. I am a local businesses person who loves Godalming and I want this show to be very much part of the community.
This will be the most affordable, professional panto in Surrey. Some shows charge as much as £35 a ticket! I certainly couldn’t afford to take my family to that. I believe that the arts should be accessible to everyone, our tickets are just £22/£20 with special prices for groups.
We are also doing a relaxed performance for children with difficulties, this performance will also be signed for deaf or hard of hearing people.
Anyway, that’s a short introductions. I’d love to meet you all individually to get to know one another and see how I can get involved with what you do. I can’t wait to be part of The Chamber.
Please do shoot me an email or call me on 01483 361101.
Thanks,
Nick Wyschna
