Compete on the Street

A Chance for Godalming and Farncombe shops to find out what their customers think, for free!

Shops and Professional Services providers in Farncombe and Godalming are being offered a free business fitness test that could boost their profits thanks to a partnership between Waverley Borough Council, Godalming Town Council, Surrey County Council and Godalming and District Chamber of Commerce.

Councillor Jim Edwards, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Community Development at Waverley Borough Council, said: “Compete on the Street is a free initiative where businesses take part in a mystery shop experience by Shoppers Anonymous. Participating businesses receive feedback and tailored advice on how any issues identified through the mystery shop can be tackled. The scheme will help local businesses to improve customer satisfaction and encourage purchasing visits, which can help to attract more customers and increase turnover and profitability.

“Businesses who want to participate only need to commit 30 minutes to take part.”

An awards ceremony will be held on 22 May where an overall winner and other category winners will be announced.

The programme is due to start next month and places are limited. To book a free place contact Jim Smith, Shopper Anonymous on 07721 535429 or [email protected].
