I am delighted to see the continued growth in support for the Chamber and its events this year, as demonstrated most recently at the Chamber Lunch last Friday at Bel & The Dragon. We are all looking forward to the next lunch at 1pm on Friday 27th October when we return to one of our longest standing members, the Stag on The River in Eashing – please book your place here.
Before then, we have a couple of really exciting events that should be of interest to everyone, starting with the “Can We Help You Generate More Leads” training evening from 5:30pm on Wednesday 11th October. This will be a fantastic evening to learn about how to use Google Adwords more effectively with the experts and at just £5 including wine and nibbles this is tremendous value –please book your place here.
Then we are holding our next Retailers’ Forum at 6pm on Tuesday 17th October at Barbaracca when we will have drinks, nibbles and networking on offer. This free event is open to all members and prospective new members. Please RSVP to[email protected] to secure your place.
As we go into November, we have a lot more to look forward to, starting with the Godalming Fireworks from 6pm on Friday 3rd November. We are really pleased to be working alongside the Godalming Town Council on promoting the fireworks and we would like to thank our new member, Seymours estate agents, for very kindly becoming the official Chamber sponsor for the event – please book your tickets in advance at a cheaper rate here.
Then we have the inaugural Waverley Joint Chambers dinner at The Inn on The Lake from 7:30pm on Wednesday 8th November. This looks set to be a great evening, which is being promoted by all of the Chamber in Waverley. Please click here to find out more and order your tickets before they sell out.
Finally, we have our next full meeting at 6pm on Monday 13th November at the Wilfrid Noyce Centre. We look forward to another excellent turnout and we are in the process of selecting some interesting speakers to spend a few minutes talking about their businesses. Please contact me or one of the other committee members if you would like to give a short talk at this or a future meeting.
The opportunity to present at a Chamber meeting and reduced-rate/free member networking events are just a couple of the many benefits to joining the Chamber..We are currently in the process of putting together a leaflet and updated webpage to explain these and the many other member benefits and we hope that, if you have yet to do so, you will become a member. You can do this here and your membership will run for 12 months.
As you can see, we have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks and I hope to see lots of you at these events.
